Community responsibility

Horner Brothers recognises the value of engaging with the community in which we operate.  A number of initiatives take place on a regular basis.

  • Site visits and tours undertaken for pre school leavers each year
  • Seminar hosted for disadvantaged young people to give them an insight into working life
  • Work experience placements provided each year for number of local schools
  • Charitable efforts arranged by staff in working hours supporting Comic Relief, Breast Cancer Awareness, Anthony Nolan Trust, Local Hospice amongst others
  • Contributor to Investors in Education Project which encourages school leavers to consider print as a career option
  • Road sponsorship - supporting the council in improving and developing the local area
  • Provide volunteers for 'Reading Matters' - a charity helping reading development in schools
